Good to know
Questions travelers often ask before a Cu Chi tour.
Ben Dinh or Ben Duoc: what’s the difference?
Both are parts of the same tunnel network built during the Vietnam War. Ben Dinh is closer to Saigon and is the most visited site. Ben Duoc is further out, quieter and less touristy, with a larger tunnel area to explore.
Do I have to go inside the tunnels?
No. Crawling into the tunnels is optional. The sections open to visitors have been widened for tourists but are still narrow and low. You can watch from above and still see everything else.
How much is the shooting range?
The shooting range is optional and paid on the spot, around 75,000 VND per bullet. Rifles include the AK-47 and M16.
Where do you pick up?
We pick up from hotels in District 1 (and nearby central areas for the speedboat tour). If you stay further out, meet us at our office at 04 Thu Khoa Huan, District 1.
What should I bring?
Comfortable shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dusty, insect repellent, a hat, some cash for drinks or the shooting range, and your camera.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. Children under 4 travel free on all tours. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. On the speedboat, child-sized life jackets are provided.
